The father of ‘mobile' cinema honoured in New York

Marwah shot his first film on a cell phone in 2006 and in doing so ushered in a new wave of independent filmmaking in his native India and around the world, giving the next generation a simple way of getting their cinematic voices heard. This will be a day which I will remember for the rest of my life," said Marwah, accepting the award from Department of Cinema at NYU.
