Cell phones often get blamed for the always-on work culture that keeps us tethered to our jobs around the clock. More than half of employers say that cell phones and texting are the biggest productivity killers at work, making them the number one distraction, according to a new survey from CareerBuilder.com. Other top productivity killers included the Internet, named by 44 percent of employers, gossip (37 percent), and social media (37 percent).
