I have had this HTC Droid Eris for about a week now. I have been able to get the Cricket PRL loaded to the phone. However, everytime I do, it says "android.phone.com" has crashed. Then it gives me the option to force close the application.

No matter what I do, I end up with this error. I have tried it after I rooted the phone and before I rooted the phone.

Does anyone here have any ideas on why this happens? I would greatly appreciate any help.

Does this happen when trying to enter the epst menu? Not that I have a fix but I had a Hero that gave that message when entering the epst/data menu.

Nope. It actually happens when I turn on the phone after I write the PRL. I've never seen anything like this before. lol I've even tried to go in through the EPST and try to write the PRL that way and it won't let me do that.

Yep. And I am still getting the same results.

Okay, I am running out of options here. lol

I have tried QPST, loading the prl from the sd card, and the newest version of CDMA WS. I have even enabled unknown sources and still the phone will say "android.phone.com has crashed". I have tried multiple PRL's and still nothing.

I am sure I am not the only one with this problem. I have the phone rooted. Heck, I have even tried to write to the phone without the phone rooted and still get that error.

I would appreciate any help I can get on this problem.
