Microsoft to Add Carrier Billing to App Store

Microsoft today said Windows device owners will soon be able to purchase apps using their wireless account rather than a credit card. Carrier billing, as the practice is called, makes it more convenient for people to purchase good and services from mobile devices by removing the credit card barrier. Purchases are simply added to the user's monthly bill. Microsoft said it will launch carrier billing with 90 carriers around the world, but didn't specify which ones. Carrier billing will be possible across all Windows 10 devices, including phones, tablets, and PCs. Windows 10 is expected to arrive later this year.
