Hero MMS not working, But Data ok//call data failure

Alright, first time post so sincerest apologies if this is either misplaced or already been beaten to death. I have a HTC hero which I have flashed to cricket. I rooted the phone, its in damage control 2.09.1 rom now and two things are happening

1) cannot send or receive MMS
2) keep getting "data call failure" (various error numbers) randomly

For the MMS I have tried the entire gamete of fixes found readily over a number of boards. From ADB'ing a modified telephony.db, to proxy settings via better cut. Still nothing. I am lost and would greatly welcome any insight on what others might have up their sleaves.

Second, the data call failure.. Web, android market, and apps all work. However I seem to get a "data call failure" error with different error codes randomly. I cannot point out any one specific cause for this. It is not generally inhibiting my ability to use the phone or data, but it becomes annoying.

data call failure means ur epst settings are not correct. also mms will not work with that rom

If you are getting Data Call Failure errors, make sure in QPST you are set to "Simple IP only"...not Mob+Simp.

MMS on the Sprint Hero and Sprint EVO appear to require a non-Sprint ROM in order to get MMS working.

OK before any one flames me I have read and read and searched and tried. I have flashed my phone so many times with so many things I feel like its a flashed whore!!! LOL but here is my problem I have tried this message rooted diffrent roms and nothing is working at alll. I have the hero. Could someone please tell me what rom they are using the flash they have and the setting that is making there cricket service work like I keep reading. I do have qpst, cdmaworkshop, a few different rooters, the htc_sprint_hero_mr_2.27.651.6 rom with DamageControl_Deodexed_2.09.01 and have full access to rooting. I have copied the telephony over did the m.ip settings. I would really love some help with this cause I been workin at it for days now. I have changed settings, installed cab,zips for it to work ##3424# and ##3282# it feels like a million different ways and I dont know!!!!!!!!!

To be clear on my question(cause I am now completely frustrated an almost giving up) Is there a flash that has any of this set up? Rom i can install? any things I need to install rom an flash?

by the way now I have.....Cricket v10.zip with signed-mms-fix and this cricket_eris_web_mms_v10 Still rooted

For ref I have done my homework but Not sure whats missing no wap no mms of any kind for my sprint htc hero on cricket service. Not even a data dial(1x or evo)

You have to use the damage control 1.0 Rom, and download and install APN Backup and Restore from the android market, delete the old APNS, then restore with the MetroPCSAPN.xml file, just have that file on a SD card. MMS works great, but rom is very buggy, like now I can only type with the phone upwards..
