View Full Version : Legacy Service book activation HOWTO

this has been posted on other forums but ill add the info here this will work on most blackberry devices
This isn't my solution, don't credit me.
First, go to options>advanced options>service books.
Hold ALT, and hit S/B/E/B(on the 8130 you have to hit S twice) to activate Legacy Service Books.
Make sure you have Desktop Manager. Download the service books here: URL
and restore the service book from desktop manager.
There you go. Full WAP and MMS on any Cricket flashed BB.
(Note: you may have to do a battery pull and reboot after you restore the SB)

question, do u have to remove sim card on flashed bb before upgrading os or restoring service books

legacy mode on storm: go to show key board, turn phone side ways. hold the numberlock so it will stay locked. then type 4?2?

When enabling Legacy mode on the pearl, It is Alt S/B/E/B, but make sure that you hit "S" twice, as there is two letters on the same key.

Legacy mode for BlackBerry OS 6 +,

Hi, I am new here, trying to flash a blackberry myself, it seems that service book is not working all time. Some one told me that I might have wrong PRL, I am using 6399. Please help. Thanks
