So i know it differs from an IMSI_M in that it is NOT associated with the MIN i any way. If that's the case, how does the network use an IMSI_T to identify an MS? Also, when would an IMSI_T be used over an IMSI_M? Is one preferred over the other? Thanks.

The MIN forms the last 10 digits of IMSI_M, IMSI_T is not assciated with the MIN, refer to the doc below for clarification, it defines all IMSI classes
