Hello,

Just wondering if you still are selling the dethrottled mifi's. I did not see any of your mifis on ebay. If you do still have some. I would probably like to purchase one.

A few quick questions though.

1. what are the average speeds?
2. Can it get throttled?
3. what would the purchase cost be?
4. Is the de throttled solution still working?
5. What plan are they being put on (is it the same $15, $30 and $100)?

thanks,

Aaron

yes i sell them on amazon and from my retail shop (KC Phone & Flash) at some point i will probably put them back on ebay but i still have a big mess on there to finish getting sorted out.
now to answer yer questions

1. speed will vary by your area, since i started messing with these devices i have only ever got max around 1.25mbps until my find a week ago now i can get 2.5 it is much better for me now i can stream vid no prob now maybe some other guys/gals will chime in and tell what they are getting.

2. Yes any device and or account can get throttled and accounts can still get killed altogether.

3. 99 to 149 bucks depending which model you want.

4. yes dethrottle works fine as long as you dont reset the device or run a duu or reflash ect.

5. the ones i do only cost 5 bucks a month,i would never put a $100 card on them or even a 30 dollar one because the nature of these are and have always been very problematic it is to easy to loose your money if you have a year of service prepaid on one of these things,if you want 3 months of service buy a 10 dollar card but dont buy anything more expensive, that is good advice.

The reason I ask all these questions is I need a second mifi. Where I live has really crappy options for internet. I am not about to give AT&T my business. I currently have a sierra wireless overdrive pro which is throttled. I ask about the data because We use can use a pretty hefty chunk. If my dethrottled account were to get throttled is it possible to get it dethrottled again? And if so what would the approximate cost be?

to be honest i have never fooled much with the overdrive or od pro,so i do not have a dethrottle compiled for it,but most of the other devices can be dethrottled if it is in fact the device that is throttled and not the account, for high data users i always suggest for them to get a second and maybe 3rd device to lower the amount of data use on any single device to help keep you flying under big reds radar as much as possible.

verizon did away with the 5 dollar and 10 dollar data option cards so if you see thme you better buy them up .... plus you can only refill with these once after you try two in a row it doesnt add the proper air time like it should.. i added a 5 dollar card then another one when that one expired and the second one never adds 30 days only like 10 days..

Thats interesting, i can still generate them thru epay i just paid 5 on 3 890L I use for home wifi and it added ok,they are on there 3rd month I think, I wonder if everyone is having that problem.I am sure big red will throw us some more curves with flashed mifis.
But thanks for the heads up I am going to be watching for this.

Heard you can add $5 with a debit card to the acct too. I dont think they did away with them totally. I think they were coming out with new Rollover data add-ons. Rumor was it was gonna be double the data now on prepaid just like on postpaid. We'll see

i do that locally to,well actually i rent them for 60 bucks a month and keep the service paid for the user, they can keep them as long as they want, a few times peeps run off with them but it doesnt matter to much since after the second month the device is paid for,i make them pay for 2 months up front in case they do run off with them.
