I just wanted to give heads up to many of you out there that have fully flashed your Motorola Droid or loaded a custom ROM, or followed some rooting process that you may have heat issues or low battery life..

It's important you note some of the things you are doing to the phone... if you experience any of these symptoms you likely loaded a custom kernel that overclocks the Processor without any profiles/management. To fix the heat/battery life issues. Install SetCPU and clock the Processor back to stock speeds... or if you wish to keep the performance. Set up profiles to slow the Processor down to stock or lower speeds while charging or sleep. You will see better battery life and less heat.

Remember it's very important to decrease CPU chip while phone charges as heat can cause permanent damage to the phone if it reaches a certain point.

I thought the easiest fix was just to reinstall the latest ROM and try not to overclock over 800 mhz.
