However, The New York Times now says that security researchers have discovered a sophisticated malware attack that’s currently spreading in Hong Kong between Occupy Central protesters, and which is able to infect and then spy upon both Android and iOS devices. It’s not clear who’s-behind the malware app, but the Chinese government is believed to be involved, as it tries to censor the current pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong. Furthermore, it’s not clear how many devices have been compromised, but previous similar attacks have infected one in 10 handsets that received a message prompting
