Very annoying Sprint 8330m to Cricket problem

I read SPC
I turn nam lock off
I change PRL to my market's PRL (29534 and 4199...and VARIOUS OTHERS)
I change SID to my markets SID 5049 (also tried 2004)

No matter what i do
*2 and *228 take me to American Roaming Network
and *611 Takes me to USCellular
on every PRL and in either SID
HELP!!!!

Try changing SYSYEM in Nam programming on Cdmaworkshop to Home only. and/or iota bypass it

yes I believe its well worth it. I'm sure you can use qpst or something to change to home only but thats easiest way.

I don't know much about that program...but for my current situation, i don't know what it will do that i haven't/can't do with qxdm

I figured it was pretty straight forward...load prl....set SID and BBID

QXDM is a good program, but honestly, workshop gives you another option for getting your settings to stick. In my experience, its the best money Ive spent on sw.


But thats not really helpful to your current situation. Sorry.

you have to change the blackberry registration id so the prl will stink

##000000 send
hit the bb icon
Edit BB Reg Id
type in you SID
click the bb icon again to save
then click it again to close
then scroll down to BlackBerry Registration Id and change 4139 to your SID which you saved
hit the bb icon again and save and it should reboot...then your prl is gonna stink once you use qxdm to load it

The settings sticking doesn't seem to be the problem...they don't revert back...
The settings i put in stay in...just don't work correctly

Is there some odd reason why i would have to have it on an account first?...i am stumped...no other phone has done this to me....
Same SID as any other phone....same PRL...just nothing goes to cricket....and the settings in ##SPC stay exactly how i set them

Oh im sorry guys...i just responded about the wrong Curve...this was actually fixed by CDMA Workshop...
The other one i have...the SPC got corrupted (somehow)...and for some reason i guess CDMA Workshop wont restore it...
When i put in the Hex commands, i get no response...41, 40 or otherwise...Again...i just got this software a few days ago and don't know what the response LOOKS LIKE when successful OR failed...cuz i did the same thing on a Curve that i KNEW the SPC for and got no response that i could see either...
But i know that one the corrupted one, that the Hex didn't actually WORK cuz i tried to reset it to 0's and it wouldn't...but i got no response telling me it did or didnt work.

Just program NAM with a phone number from your region, it has nothing to do with the flashing, maybe the system is not recognizing the phone number, change both MIN and MDN, just use something that's from your particular market.

The PRL's on Sprint Blackberry's stick if you edit the BBreg id and add 2004. After that save, delete BB id 4139, and save. Close then edit mdn and min, then save. After that just write the prl and you'll be fine.
