Does anybody have any links to the stock DUU Firmware Files. I'm looking for 3.20.03 or 3.20.11 for my Novatel 4620L. I am also looking for the stock DUU for a 2200. Thank you.:smile:

those devices wont allow you to downgrade,i think only one novetal device will and i cant remember which one it is.i have all device firms downgradable though if you need one downgraded and cant get it done get ahold of tom or myself.

I am trying to downgrade my firmware for 4620L, but Novatel claims it is not possible. I tried following a guide online using Cheat Engine, in order to change the memory locations of the detected firmware version, to trick the DUU into downgrading. I was not successful though.

Can you post the firmware that will allow a downgrade? Also, my MiFi gets 14Mb down, while my iPhone gets 23Mb down in the exact same spot. Are there varying degrees of throttling? How can I check to see if my MiFi is throttled? I'm on Verizon post-paid.

I cannot post that firm,sorry.at some point when I get out of mifis I will post all firms for everyone but right now I am not ready,I can downgrade for you via remote load for a fee and yes that device has a speed limit

What all can you do for the 4620L MiFi? Can you remove the speed limit and lower the ping rate by changing the slot cycle index, much like a phone? How risky is doing this on a MiFi on Verizon post-paid and can they detect it and undo? What does it entail, and how much are we talking?

slot cycle index is for voice, so all it will do for these data devices is maybe increase battery life if you change it to 9, dont ever do that with a phone or you wont receive calls, most phones should be at 2, each increment increases the polling time by 1.28 seconds but since we dont need to listen for calls we dont need it.
speed is controlled mostly by 2 files that reside in different partitions of the filesys both must be modded to successfully dethrottle, then you need to disable both booleans so it doesnt throttle again in a few mins on you.
that is as in detail as i am going to get about it since i am still selling those services.

Can you speak to the risk factor? Is the de-throttling a mail-in service or can you do it remotely? What is the cost for said service?

dethrottle is mail in only for that one and I will need a full profile with all keys to write back to it after dethrottle, risk factor, risk for what?

oh I c,Yes they can and do still kill accounts but it is very easy to "fly under the radar" that happens when one of 2 occurs,when peeps either call cs about there account and/or abuse (more than 30 gig or so a month)per device.

Gotcha. I have unlimited data and am pulling 80+ GB per month. I assume I should just be happy with my 14Mbs down as it's a lot better than risking getting it cancelled to increase the download speed.
