How to set apn on sprint hero

access point names
press menu
add new apn
add network config
menu save

to do mms on cricket on sprint hero, u will have to root it and flash an eris based rom or it just wont work

I had the wap working on the 1.5 OS then I upgraded the OS to 2.1 and now I cannot connect to the web. I downloaded APN OnOff and I put in the right APN settings, but still no connection to Metro. Any ideas???

Most likely you unrooted your phone with the update. Search the forum for Rooting Hero 2.1 and you should find a guide on it. Probably have to downgrade to the .6 baseband to be able to root again. Just my 2 cents. :)
