FCC chief slams Verizon’s lame excuse for throttling your supposedly ‘unlimited’ data

Per The Hill, Wheeler ripped into Verizon’s response from earlier this week in which the carrier said that it was justified in throttling customers’ “unlimited” data because, hey, everyone other carrier is doing the same thing. “‘All the kids do it’ was never something that worked with me when I was growing up and it didn’t work with my kids,” Wheeler said. “My concern in this instance is that it is moving from engineering and technological issues into business issues.” Over the last week, Verizon has maintained that it-had decided to throttle some of its

This is the funniest story I have seen this year!!!!

It was the FCC who allowed Verizon to install a Huawei LTE system (think about a lot of cash here) only to tell them once it was almost online that they couldn't operate it in the US because as everyone knows (Or should know) Huawei is owned by the Chinese Army. So Verizon loses their bandwidth lease until they comply meanwhile Sprint (Who leases to T-mobile and ATT) cut a back door deal with the FCC to use an undisclosed amount of taxpayer money (think we probably paid for the whole thing)to buy and install a Siemens LTE Network (The only other real LTE equipment supplier at the time).

So what would be really funny is if Verizon just flipped off the FCC and told them they couldn't respond because all of their emails about that discussion were destroyed or lost!!!!!
