Dubbed “Material Design,” Google has employed a new design identity throughout the user interface that makes Android L far more beautiful and approachable than the OS-has ever been in the past. While Apple has done a great job of flattening its iOS platform in an effort to modernize it, Google is taking a different approach, adding different levels to the UI that combine with new graphics to create a great experience.
