Samsung Moment Diag and Basic Flash (ANOTHER METHOD)

Here is another way to basic flash the Samsung Moment.
What you will need:


a) CDMA Workshop (haven't tried it on the cracked version, registered is recommended)

b)Samsung Moment Android Drivers (Download Here ([Only registered and activated users can see links]))
these ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) Drivers are useful too.



Here it is:

(Install drivers but Do not plug in phone yet)

1)Turn off your phone and press [send + center button + pwr] (in that order).

2)Hold them down untill you see a Selft Test Menu.

3) With the center trackpad, slide down and select option 12. (USB)

4)USB Test Menu will open. You will see 2 options: Highlight the second option (down key) PHONE............(0)

5)Make sure the second option is highlighted, Connect the usb cable now.

6)If the drivers had not been previously installed wait till they install.

7)Once that is done. Connect with CDMAWS. Go to the Security Tab and in the 16 digit password section, send the "Samsung Default Password" and the SPC will be revealed.

8)Change the SPC to zeros "000000" (or whatever u want)

9) Write your prl, and evdo settings.

10)Go to Main Tab and click "Mode Reset"

11)Done.

For Wap, follow the HTC Hero Wap Procedure.

Just go to wireless connections and turn on Dial Up Networking...this should make the modem drivers visible in cdma workshop.

Some moments i've gotten don't have that option.
However my method works on all.

If you have trouble getting the moment to recognize as a modem, try ##8778# then set phone as modem. This works for me sometimes, then other times it doesn't... weird

Following the above tutorial. Using CDMA WS to write the PRL goto the other tab and choose to write the PRL. As for what PRL you will need that will depend on the carrier (I'm assuming cricket because this is a flash to cricket thread), what plan you are on (old plans have different PRL's & if you have roaming or not), what area you are in?
These all affect what PRL to use. If you have a question as to what PRL for your area, feel free to post that question in the PRL forum, let's not turn this thread into a how to for PRL's.

I believe if the customer doesn't want the Android plan you can load the U2nl file and it will work the same. At least that is what I have been reading on this forum and others as well.

Hello I recently got a basic flash on my samsung moment at a store and they said there was was no way they could do the full flash. Obviously it can be done. I had trouble using CDMAWKSHp and the other q program that is why I brought it to the store, but I would like to just get web on my phone MMS is not necessary. I tried using the anycut method, but no luck. I don't know if I did something wrong. Can anyone help?

use the no proxy,like dex said.if you got t-t already then just plug the phone ,hit usb debugging and dial up net. write th ppp's with workshop,list your model as m6000 or m860 and get on the 60z plan,and boom-badda-bing you got web and full market.you can even do mms but is time consuming on that one
