Walmart LG VX5600 SPC Retrieval without CDMA Workshop

Okay, I was hunting for a SPC retrieval solution other than asking someone to generate it for me or having to have a copy of CDMA Workshop.
I had read in multiple locations that LG Download, 9100 DLL Could retirieve the SPC.
Well I went out and bought another laptop.
Installed XP SP2 on it.
Loaded LG Download Pro 1.4.
Installed LG USB Modem Drivers.
Connected phone via USB Cable.
Used device manager to set port of phone to com 1.
Launched LG Download and manually loaded 9100 dll that you get from humpa's, used NV Edit to retrieve SPC (the box asks for SPC, just click ok)
Your SPC should be shown after program reads the phones memory.

So by posting here, I am confirming that this method retrieves the SPC...

Thanks for this info. I had no idea such a software existed. Went to Google, did a search, downloaded, installed, tested. It Works! Now, please know that I don't do anything commercial with phones, but it sure is nice to have the SPC generator so I can play with the phones. It's more of a hobby for me. Anyways to resolve the errormessage on LG Download:

error message num: 26843!
Location : 'Changing to DM mode' Function in Phonebook Programming

Contents : Unknown Error

I tried to use it it gives an error message. Check MEID and Range!

ok pc tech i know how to get the spc out of the 5600 but how come every time i write it to 000000 it doesnt change any idea why//

It does change, are you talking about when you try and flash it with lgnpst and it asks for the spc and neither spc works?
Neither the original spc or the 0's right?

My guess is that your trying to change it in LGNPST and not another utility.

Well i change it and write it through Lg download but when i read again it reads the original code???? but anyways i am new at this can you please explain what i need and what to do so that i can full flash my lg vx5600... Thanks Pc tech for the Help Much Appreciated.....

Just use CDMA Workshop to change the spc it will change it. I have done it

This thread was for retrieving the SPC without CDMA Workshop.

The simpliest thing is to find CDMA Workshop Cracked version (Google) and use it to change the SPC.
Please stay on topic.

If anyone knows how to fix above issue, I would appreciate any help. When ever I try the 5600 or other LG phones with LG Download, I get Phonebook error crap.

the error is because with the newer models the DM command has been changed so u have to use the right type of DLL that sends the new command and there are only 2 such DLLS that i kno of for LG Download there could be more but hey u never kno ne ways they are :DRUM ROLL PLEASE:

I havent changed my 9100 dll. It use to work. now it doesnt. it errors on phonebook issue

to get the spc code to lg vx5600 is with workshop original, just with calculator of the workshop, put you meid number and you company and hit calcular botton, is all, the program show the spc code, greetings.
