The shock may be that it’s taken this long to get to that level of smartphone penetration. The Supreme Court heard oral arguments last week in two cases that will set the tone for how police deal with smartphones — and perhaps other mobile computing devices — found on one's person in an arrest, or even when stopped for a moving violation. The cases are Riley v. California and United States v. Wurie.
