Flash ZTE 890L to 3g Prepaid

Can the ZTE 890L be flashed to prepaid. If so what is the Password and SPC. Is there drivers that you can download so you can use DFS with it? I would like to play with this. Thanks for any help.

i have custom firmware for it but it sounds like you need to load the full nv's back to it.we can load it remote for you if that is what you want but my firm is not for sale like that yet.

are these flashed a difft way that the others? Rich...i saw that after the preflash the 890L was in ruim mode. Is it supposed to be flashed under ruim? All the other models are on nvonly after the preflash

after load with my firm just write meid by default method,send spc and change to nv only then reboot and flash normally.sorry if i didnt tell you that the other day when we did all those,im old and forgetful lol

you need 2 drivers for this one but you also need to enumerate the usb port for you to see the port.

hi man,i dont have any dethrottle for the 890L yet,i was just starting on it for that one but got sidetracked with other projects and everything that has been going on.
i personally use 3 890L's since i finished the firm i dont remember the date but i think its been a couple months or so and have only ever had one problem that i believe came from my file and my typo so i had to reload frimware to that one but all is good besides that with mine.

but i cant lie to you and tell you its de-throttled cuz its not,i can write the novatel file to it for throttle and it loads but some of whats in there is novatel specific and needs to be ported over to zte still.

but its a very nice device compared to other mifis in my opinion,i have every model of mifi flashed that can be i think, and im using the 890L

today i have zte 891L(us cellular models),its same as verizon 890L.
main different is 891L is cdma only,i already flash with cdms ws(v3.9 paid) but still sim lock.
how i can unlock it?does its possible to use gsm overseas like 890L?

I cant say because i have never even seen that uscell variant, if i can get one i could tell you,but you kinda of contradict yourself in what you just said,if you know its cdma only then why you wish to use gsm? but if it has a sim slot and its uscell seems to me that its at least cdma and lte and probly cdma,lte and gsm like the other vzw one,i can unlock most modems but like i said i have never seen that one before so i dont know for sure.

i don't know its cdma until i have it today.
its same as vzw model,so i think no different.

Hello Rich, when I try to enumerate the port using the address you posted, them Im prompted to enter a login password, I tried to use the default web login password but it didn't work, could you please let me know where I can get the password to be able to login and enable the USB.

I do know another trick to get diag without the need for a cable, maybe ill post it to and see how long it takes someone to repost and take credit for it lol.

I can do it for you bro but this device does not play well over network usb so it is mail in only but I can do it with 24hr turnaround so you get it back quick or anyone local is welcome to walk it into my store.
but as far as I know no other method works I have 3 zte tools for changing meid in zte devices and none of them work for this model either.

it can be written one time only, it is permanent and all security is put back in place on the device

its on thousands of devices via me loading it but its not for sale outright as I am still using it, Actually I just finished a new version for it that has some items renamed and disabled like the idiotic feature to ban your devices that people seem to do regularly that i have spent way to much time of my life helping people to fix, now they cant do that anymore, and also they cannot change the devices mode and break the flash anymore or accidentally turn off wifi anymore either, I should have done that a long time ago. Yes there has been dethrottle for it for more than a year. I can flash and/or load firmware for it for you if you wish

To load custom firmware you will have to send it in to me as the 890 does not play well to write partitions over network like that, if you just want it flashed i can do it remotely so you dont have to mail it in. if you just need generic only 20 bucks each, it is best for you to mail them to me, they can be loaded remotely but any packet loss will result in a brick and this very possible via remote so it is best to pay the extra 11 bucks ($5.50 each way) and send them to me if you can.
