You can call the dealer line and tell them you need to program the phone for a customer and it did not give you the spc's. then they will most likely give them to you.

I don't think that crickets dealer line will be much help with a Boost Berry. I would start by trying the solutions used for Sprint. But then again I hate BlackBerries and won't even Touch them. So I'm only making a suggestion.

Not true, Boost has CDMA devices also, [Only registered and activated users can see links]
They have for sometime now.

The new Boost blackberry curve is a CDMA version so I am pretty sure we fully flash it to cricket but the only problem is finding the SPC

I haven't get a chance to play with the CDMA Curve from Boost but try to read the SPC with CDMA Workshop....and By the way...the Preset Address for 8330 is wrong...read from 0000:1070 to 0000:1080 and if this doesnt work...you might have to downgrade the software like the Curve from Sprint...

You are right there isn't downgrade for boost curve and also the memory is locked so we cannot read the SPC.

On 8330 if your software version ends in .131 then you can read the memory in start add:1070 end add: 1072 and you will find the SPC, it works for me. If your software ends in .175 then you have to downgrade the software.

you CAN get the spc's from the boost dealer line. I have done it before, the number is 1800-boost4u and then press 88.

I was actually able to downgrade a Boost Blackberry from 5.0 to 4.5.0.66 from U.S Cellular. I wiped the OS off of the device and then reloaded the U.S Cellular OS to the device. You do have to delete the vendor.xml file first. Once you get the U.S Cellular O.S on the device, you will be able to read the SPC.

Is it possible to put a different software on a blackberry other than the original? Was it actually originally from boost or it was for US Cellular?

Thanks

It was a boost mobile blackberry. If you delete the vendor.xml file that i believe is located in the following location, it will allow you to install an OS from a different carrier. the location of the file i think is C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\vendor.xml
