From the end of March, users of the Sony SmartWatch 2, an Android device, will be able to download boarding cards for Vueling flights directly to their wrist. When used in combination with the Vueling App for Android phones, the smartwatch will be able to display a 2D barcode containing the traveler's boarding card and all of the related flight information, including takeoff and landing time and gate number. While other airlines already allow passengers to download paper-less mobile boarding passes through their smartphones, this is the first time that the concept has come to a smartwatch.
