I know this is a long shot...but if i were to take my Cricket flashed enV Touch into a Verizon store...think they would update the firmware for me?....cuz apparently i can't get any program to update it for me that is working on Win7....Tried LGDownloader, LG Update Tool, and QPST to no avail.

I don't believe that they will because its flashed.

Have you tried lgnpst for the upgrade yet?

Its all posted on this forum :)

Yeah...just freezes on me...and i am not sure if i have a good copy of the most recent fw...
Also...i click on phone settings in lgnpst and it flashes like it is trying to open the screen and does nothing but grey the button out.

:^/ One thing to watch for when upgrading the firmware on flashed phones: often enough you'll have to flash them again, because the update will replace your PRL and likely other settings as well. I've noticed this while upgrading my Treo 755p.

Soooo, unless you're prepared to redo all of your Cricket stuff, you might want to pass on Verizon's upgrade altogether.

Well i got v08 on there...Verizon didn't even question me about my account lol.
I used the files on the following page and overwrote them in the directories that match, but it still no internet.
Any ideas?
All the info looks correct...can someone test those files and tell me if the info is correct?

i replaced the filedb file in some broswer dir in the phone file system.
i replaced lg_mms_000.nv (or something like that) in another dir that had the same filename.
i changed the PRL to the cricket one for my area.
used qpst to change to sip from mip..
I THINK that's it lol

well thats not enuff u first off need LGNPST LAB Version 3 Components VX11k DLL and Generic DLL which are all found in one spot on this forum its in the LG Section look for my post regarding lots of firmware links it has the software that u need to change the settings

yeah...my issue with LGNPST above still stands...the phone settings window never pops up...last time i had this issue, smitty sent me phonesetting.ocx...now i'm not sure if the copy i used before had it already in the dir...but this one DOES have a file named the same thing....sadly that copy was on another computer so i can't access it...any idea where i can find that ocx file, cuz i have searched all over online for it, but to no avail...

But i know it isn't my copy of LGNPST...cuz i tried 1.1 lab and 1.2 lab...and both do the same thing...i also tried it on my vista laptop cuz my desktop runs win7...oddly enough LG update tool won't work either...just freezes on checking model (program doesn't stop responding, it just doesn't go any further)...but i guess Verizon uses something different, cuz they loaded v08 in like 15 minutes

u need to install the VX9200 msi which is posted in the lg section it will get rid of the phone setting issue and the nv edit window not appearing properly

9200 is the enV3....does that dll assist in another way?
I tried it and it did nothing
I have the dll for the Touch....vx11000
But the window still will not display

did u instal components via msi they should be at least version 3 or u wont get it to work properly the 9200 msi installs the needed stuff for the nv edit window to show up properly so u need to get the components for it i suggest looking for my post for most lg firmware links look on the vzw firmware page for the vx11k and download the rar it has the generic models and components in it in msi format

I have all the most recent components and generic models...if i have the phone hooked up...then i switch dlls to 9200, it says can't create phonesetting.ocx.
