LG RUMOR LX-260 Flashed to pageplus, want to re-install sprint software.

Hello All,
I have a LG Rumor lx-260 that was new out of the box last week.
I am fairly certain it was flashed to pageplus because QPST said "pageplus" under banner, and it was the wrong box.
Also the software looks different than sprint's[Only registered and activated users can see links] ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) software for this device.
When I turn the phone on it says: Initial programming Needed.

So I used QPST to write the sprint *.prl file from my old phone to it. (it's the same model)
So now when it hit *3 it calls sprint. So that's working.

However when sprint tried to program the phone[Only registered and activated users can see links] ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) it won't work. None of their codes will allow them to reset, or wipe the phone over the internet and so far all the stores have refused to do so using the USB cable. Lg refuses to accept it for repair as it is older than four years old.

In CDMA workshop under software on this phone it says: T6LGV06
But my old phone which has the sprint software[Only registered and activated users can see links] ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) says: LX260VO9

The Lg downloader assures my the most recent version of my software is installed.

If anybody can tell me how to put the Sprint software onto this phone, I'd be very grateful for the help.

I was thinking : QPST will let me save everything from my other phone to a file (which I have done) but I am fairly sure if I were to write all of my olds phone's into to it it will be a brick. Not sure if I could look at the phone's info and copy it down and then enter it back in after loading the file from my old one... or which info to copy and which info to leave the same...

Try to flash back to Sprint, it seem like that phone has generic version.

I honestly am not aware of the process and procedures of how to flash this device with it's original software
If the information is here on this forum I can't seem to find it.
If it's obvious and I am missing something please forgive my ignorance.

I have downloaded and installed a program called LGMobile Support Tool v1.6.7
by searching for the term "lgdownload". It appears to work.
Is this the right tool?

I also have a piece of software installed called the "LG PC Suite".
and I have the .dll file named LX260.dll
which I found here :

Not sure if that would allow me to load the file, or if it's the right one.
still trying to get "LG download" I found a torrent but it needs seeders.

am I on the right track?

If yo have the QCN from your old phone that was the same model on Sprint you can write that using QPST to the new phone. It won't brick if done wright. It will restore certain things like the prl, data profiles, what it won't restore is the ESN from the old phone to the new.

But after tat it should otasp with a *2.

Thanks for finding it, but I downloaded it a few times and the rar is corrupt.
Does it have anything in it besides the LX260.dll?

Do I just open the file from the old one and write it to the new one?

It is not corrupt, I just downloaded and I didn't get any error extracting.

Okay I got it to download and unrar.
It had; java version 6 in a folder, SCR file, PRL file, bin file
dll file.
Yay. So I still can't find LG download.
once I do find it, what do I do?

I have LG download installed.

I am guessing I should use the "upgrade" tool at the top of the list?
I see there is a button at the top left to select the DLL file.
I see It allows me to select the ERI, Bin, and SCR file paths.
But not the PRL FILE path.
The phone should already have the correct PRL written to it, if leaving it blank just leaves it alone then no issue there,
But if not I have the *.PRL file. I just need to know how to point it there.
I'm also curious about what I do with the Folder that says "Java_Script_V6"?

that tool has options for PRL, and about Java, You don't have to touch that. java goes with scr file. The tool takes care about that.

okay. I gt it about the java, thanks.
so in LG download I got the com port selected, it sees the phone.
I go to "view", and then hit "start connecting"
on the right it fills in the data except:
Model name says: "Unknown" in Red (should I just fill in LX260?)
and Dll version says "none" in red.
I can put in the *.dll name and folder into the spaces below that.
But when I click on the dll button on the top left, it says:
"First, Check the menu (check user selection Dll file) and select DLL file"
so I clicked the button which when you hover over it says "Check for select DLL file"
then I clicked the DLL button again is says "There is no correct model string"

still not sure how to select the prl file either.

It says that because that phone was flashed to Generic SW, What you need then is get the generic dll and put in the same directory and it should work.

Why do I need the generic Dll?
I am trying to replace the generic one with the sprint one.
what is Teamviewer for?

I am just saying to get a generic dll, to make the tool to recognize the phone, then you can flash it.

okay that sounds doable. I have downloaded a torrent called "all LG dll files".
It has so many dll files it's incredible. Any idea which one is the "generic" one I am looking for?

I have LX260.dll
and I have LG260BPT.dll
Really not sure how I would use the generic dll or even then non-generic dll. I don't quite understand how LG download works.
I did notice that even my old phone which has all the original Sprint software. Says "unknown" under model when I plug it in, so maybe that doesn't matter?

You need to use LG260BPT.dll, and should let you flash to Sprint.

okay so I put "LG260BPT.dll" in the Dll file name box
and "C:\LG260BPT"in the Dll directory name box (that's the name of the directory it's in)

when I hit [upgrade download start] it says:
"Can't load Dll file to the memory
-check the dll file path to load the memory on the status bar
-if it was printed unknown model in the Model name , select directly dll file path."
also, if I hit the Dll path button it has an excalmation point and says dll path:
and it's just blank.
I am feeling like I need to do another step after entering the file name and directory file path
but I don't know what it is

I went and looked at the situation with QPST to see about flashing the phone using the QCN file from my other phone.
But I am unsure if the IMEI number would need to be updated to what it was before.

oooh wait, I ran the program in windows xp sp2 mode and is sees the phone =)

I put the dll files into the directory c:\LG electronics\lgdownload\model
\LG260BPT and
\LX260 respectively
Now when I connect the phone and click start connecting it sees LG2506BPT for the phone flashed to page plus
and LX260 for the old phone with the original sprint software.

So now what? =D

also I can now select the prl file.

and it asks me PRL NAM select:
NAM1 ,NAM 2, or NAM1 and Nam2

If I got up to the dll button it shows me a menu, when I click on tri mode it shows me the two phones LX260 and LG260BPT it says to double left click on the two files, but I can't click on either of them.
