What version of RSD Lite are you using? With my experience I have to use a lower version such as 4.3 or 4.1 to flash Moto Q's successfully, you can also try to flash it with the Alltel Upgrade to at least get it out of bootloader.

You could have also used the same version of RSD Lite that you were using and put the alltell customer upgrade file and then verizon monster file that should have taken care of it

Skip the RSD altogether on that one. Get the update at this link:

When they ask for a warranty date just give them one that is less than a year. Download the Verizon one, unzip it and install it. Then plug your phone in and run it. Takes about fifteen minutes. And you have a phone that works.

Go to this link:

You should be able to get every one of those out of bootloader mode using the utility provided there. It works for me everytime.

Try this one. I just googled "motorola q update" and it was the first link. It works everytime. I found this solution on the old M-F.

And Whitey, my links aren't bad. They just don't work. hehehe

There just boards without the lcd or keypads, we used the keypads and lcds for other boards.

Ive used the MSU still doesnt work I have 2 differnt types of errors

1 is BP Failed to Initialiaze

the Other is something like IPL failed to flash

make sure it's the MSU_Standalone, disable internet connection if it tries to update to MSU, if battery dies in mid-flash it will fail so use a full battery

Check the error. On the phone screen you'll see an error. I've had some unrecoverable ones that say BP failure.

I have a Moto Q with this issue explained here, but the solutions don't seem to work for me. I have tried flashing with the Alltel monster file, Verizon monster file and even tried the MSU solution here but to no avail. Please help, anyone. It's always the BP failure error. Is it possible to flash only the BP? If so, where can one get the file?
Thanks.
