Blackphone runs a modified version of the Android operating system called PrivatOS that the phone's creators describe as "security-oriented." Blackphone's website also says the phone will come preloaded with "the tools…you need to take ownership of your mobile presence and digital footprints, and ensure nobody else can watch you without your knowledge." Some of the features Blackphone claims to have include secure phone calls, texts and video chats;
