Reboot your phone into safe/diag mode by turning off your phone, hold t and then power up the device, after that use HWVSP(hardware virtual serial port) and create a serial port just like the MOTO Q method and then you can detect in qpst/qxdm/etc

You will need to turn your device off, then when it is off Press and hold T on the keyboard, and either turn it on, or plug in a data cable while holding T, continue to hold T until the device is fully booted and then open command prompt and type ipconfig /all scroll down until you see the Motorola USB networking title and write down the IP address it should be something like 192.16.10.108 then open HWVSP and create a com port by selecting a port I use port 20 for example and the address will be the ip address you just wrote down plus 1 for example my ip is 192.16.10.108 so the ip address i would us in hwvsp is 192.16.10.109 and then the port to connect to is 11008 click create com and now you should detect your droid on com 20
