T-Mobile today said that it will "terminate all billing for premium SMS, except for charitable and political giving" as soon as feasible. The move is a response to customer complaints about the fraudulent billing practices of some premium SMS providers. T-Mobile says it has already ceased doing business with one of the largest such companies. This change does not impact T-Mobile's standard SMS service, nor does it affect purchases made via SMS through device marketplaces or applications. T-Mobile customers who believe they've been charged inappropriatelyfor premium SMS services can request a refund from T-Mobile.
