T-Mobile has quietly updated the mobile hotspot options available to customers who choose its $70 Unlimited plan. The $70 Unlimited plan provides customers with unlimited talk, text, and web, but no mobile hotspot or tethering. If customers wanted to use their smartphone or tablet for tethering, they had to pay $20 for 500MB of tethering, $30 for 2.5GB, or $40 for 6.5GB. Now, new customers can add 2.5GB of mobile hotspot data to their $70 Unlimited plan for $20 per month. T-Mobile is offering 4.5GB of mobile hotspot data for an extra $30 per month and 6.5GB of mobile hotspot data for an extra $40 per month.
