Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer might be on his way out the door, but that seemingly won’t stop him from shaking things up as he exits. Microsoft on Tuesday announced that it will acquire Nokia’s devices and services businesses for $7.2 billion. The news rocked the mobile industry, coming as a complete shock in light of the recent partnership the two companies entered. But alas, the deal is done once regulatory approval is granted, and there’s no reason to expect any holdups. Following the announcement, Ballmer penned a letter to Microsoft employees to give them an inside look at why the Nokia deal went down, and the full letter can be read below.
