Nvidia today announced that it has ported its Kepler graphics architecture to mobile devices via its Project Logan next-generation mobile processor. Before today, Kepler was only available to desktop machines. Nvidia says bringing Kepler to mobile devices will provide a generational jump in mobile graphics performance, while still managing to keep power requirements under control. In addition to handling graphics processing, Kepler can also tackle augmented reality, speech recognition, and image manipulation. Nvidia expects to include the Kepler GPU in its Tegra-branded processors due to arrive during the first half of next year.
