Verizon and Motorola might not have been the first duo to launch an Android smartphone, but Verizon’s exclusive Motorola Droid undoubtedly played a huge role in making Android what it is today. Since that epic first handset debuted in 2009, Motorola and Verizon have reunited a number of times to launch new Droid-branded phones like the Droid RAZR series and the Droid X.
