I probably deserve no credit for anything you read below. But I did write this all up, so give thanks if you deem it appropriate.

Note that you will probably need to install Generic Components for LGNPST.

You will need:

LGNPST Lab Level 1.1
the DLL for the LG device you are flashing
the corresponding generic DLL for the LG device you are flashing
Right_Click_Register_DLL
[Only registered and activated users can see links]

Following is a list of LG devices and their corresponding Generic DLLs:

AX265 1.0.12.0
VX8360 1.0.3.0
VX8550 1.0.3.0
VX8560 1.0.3.0 or 1.0.4.0
VX9100 1.0.1.2
VX9200 2.0.24.0
VX9600 1.0.5.0
VX9700 1.0.2.0
VX10000 1.0.6.0
VX11000 2.0.29.0

The Voyager (VX10000) will be used for the following example.

1. When you are installing DLLs for LGNPST, you should first navigate to C:\LG Electronics\LGNPST and ensure there is a Model folder present. If not, create one.

NOTE: You will want to verify you have LGNPST Lab Level 1.1 or higher installed. LGNPST Store Level will not allow you to NV Read and Write in the same manner as Lab Level.

2. Within the Model directory (the path to which is listed above), create another directory for the model of phone you are attempting to flash. For the Voyager, create a directory titled “VX10000”.

3. Install Right_Click_Register_DLL. Installing this file will allow you to right-click and register the proper DLL without having to use the command line.

4. In the folder you just created in the Model directory, paste the DLL of the LG model you are attempting to flash. For the Voyager, paste the LGNPST_VX10000.dll.

5. In the same folder, paste the generic DLL that corresponds with the LG model you are attempting to flash. For the Voyager, paste the LGNPST_GenericModel_Ver_1_0_6_0.dll.

6. Next, right-click the model DLL (not the generic DLL) and select "Register" from the contextual menu. For the Voyager, right-click the LGNPST_VX10000.dll and select Register from the contextual menu.

You do NOT need to right-click to register the GenericModel DLL. If you successfully registered the DLL, you will see the following (or a similar) message: "DllRegisterServer in C:\LG Electronics\LGNPST\Model\VX10000\LGNPST_VX10000.dl l succeeded".

7. Now open LGNPST. If the “Model” section in the upper left shows UNKNOWN, click File from the menu, Select DLL and choose the proper DLL, in this case the VX1000 DLL. Then close LGNPST and relaunch it. Verify the “Model” section displays the correct model name, in this case VX10000 or VX10K.

You should now have successfully registered your DLL for use with LGNPST!!!

Hello all,

I am using windows 7 and have used LGNPST for some time with LG phones. I got my fist LG enV 11000 in my shop today and I cant get it recognized in LGNPST. I have followed this forum and others and have the appropriet .dll in a new folder in the model folder in the LGNPST folder on my C: drive but when I try and register the .dll I just keep getting an error that it failed to load. I have tried different .dll downloads and have used the "Run as Admin" approach but to no avail!!!!

I did get the phone out of here by rewirting the cricket nv files to be compatible with Metro and wrote them with CDMA but I love using LGNPST for my LG stuff. If any of you have had this problem and have overcome it please let me know..

Thank you

Elsia

Try with LGNPST lab 1.2.

Emergency mode. Then it'll connect also make sure that the USB is set right in ##LGservicemenu, but really this is not really the thread to be asking anything else other than how to register the DLL.

If you need further help try the search feature XV11000 it'll bring up a few other threads that had similar issues and solutions. If you still can't get it start a new thread in the appropriate forum ie. cricket LG, "if flashing to cricket", etc, and I'll throw everything together and post it there tomorrow sometime. I just had one that refused to connect until I downgraded and flashed it in emergency.

Please excuse my idiocy as I'm only a n00b to this, but I've looked all around and I can't seem to find a solution to registering the AX260 dll. Here's a screenshot of what happens when I try:
[Only registered and activated users can see links] ([Only registered and activated users can see links])

I put IEShims.dll in that folder as the Dependency Walker said it could not find that file. I don't exactly understand the other error: "Warning: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in a delay-load dependent module."

Any help is much appreciated and thanks for reading this. :)

You don't need to register that dll, use lgdowload for that model.

rich hathaway
02-09-2011, 04:57 PM
use this small software it will help you add these dlls to your registery.unpack it and it will ad it to your right click menu and work with the right click to register softwares.

it works with win7 in most cases, however if you have changed your registry or recently run any registry cleaners or boosters you might have issues, they tend to mess up your registry and make what usually works not work.

Hey guys had a few questions and needed a little clarification. Im trying to figure out if there is a way to extract the HA and AAA passwords from an LG730 - LG Venice..someone told me that i just needed to unlock the nv folder using LGNPST and of course i then found out that you needed a .dll to communicate with the device..so i found one..but then received an error attempting to register it so i followed that until i found this thread and from what i can understand u cant use LGNPST with the LG Venice..soooo i was wondering if anyone knew a way to read the ha and aaa passwords from the LG Venice - LG730

thanks

Hey Rich, thanks 4 the reply, i actually have cdma ws 3.9...i just activated it this morning, i can connect and read it but i cannot read the ha and aaa passwords and sum1 in another thread on another forum said it was because i needed to unlock the nvitems using LGNPST using the corresponding dll?.....LOL sounded like a starting point to me so i went with it.

whyrless
04-26-2013, 12:22 PM
not really, i read up on it a little bit last night and they said that the passwords are usually held in 465 466 1192 and 1194 although im not sure. Rich can i just pull the nvitems from the phone and use them as they are or do i need to unlock them so that they are readable 1st?

rich hathaway
04-26-2013, 12:39 PM
there is the definitions for those 4 items.why dont you tell me what you are trying to do,other than read those items, flash or what, maybe i can help you.
and no you shouldn't have to unlock anything except the spc to have access to them, only on a few phones are the profiles and such not accessible thru the nv

465^"Data Services Mobile IP General User Profile"^"Data*"
466^"Data Services Mobile IP Shared Secret User Profile"^"Data*"
1192^"HDR Access Network Stream CHAP Authentication Password"^"Data*"
1194^"HDR Access Network Stream CHAP Authentication User ID"^"Data*"
