Hello, I have an unbranded Axesstel PG130F fixed wireles GSM deskphone, capable of G3 fax and data. Unfortunately the 24 pin data cable is said to have not shipped with units delivered in the U.S.A., for some strange reason. I should think I should be able to find one that adapts to USB, if not JTAG. Aside from flashing, I would like to use the full capabilities of this unit. The connection port seems to be the same as that on the Sprint branded "Sprint Phone Connect" (Axesstel TX340G), and maybe a Pantech or LG connector.... Anyone know of a source?

well i just checked on ebay and there are some on there. You must know the part number, or have a good keyword search. Care to share?

Right... Um...

What about:

Unfortunately the 24 pin data cable is said to have not shipped with units delivered in the U.S.A., for some strange reason.

My unit, just like any other I've inquired about, in the U.S.A., does NOT contain the 24 pin data cable, nor the CD. Hence my posting on a site full of gurus...

I understand India might be a good place to look, but without knowing who is a supplier, a part number, or retrofit/compatible item, it's been a shot in the dark.

It seems like it may be similar to the Kyocera charger I have, which contains less pins.

In my searching, it SEEMS like it may be similar to Pantech or LG cables.

My first effort was NOT to just bemoan those with knowledge, for something easy.

I've been searching for a while.

Budget is a BIG issue...

I have attached images of how the connector, and a prefab cable might look....

oh,well the one i saw in the uk had the same model, but that is deff a lg head that fit the model of the likes of mm535 and several others,i have several of those cables some chipset and some not,but i am sure if you look around you may find pin configs for it and be able to make a simple mod to the cable for the lg one,or possibly contact the manufacturer and get the oem one.

"Hello! This is United States calling. Are we reaching..."

The pictures I attached ARE LG.

They're from my research into the cable.

I've been to pinouts.ru, where I found the attached diagram, seemingly the closest, with the notches.

The pictured connector IS LG, but the slots don't match.

If I had the budget, I'd guess, and just buy a bunch of random cables, or an "octopus". But I do NOT have much of a budget.

Then, of course, there is the matter of the pinouts...

The local Sprint owned wireless store has a Sprint branded Axesstel TX340G called "Sprint Phone Connect", on display. The TX340G has a port labeled "DATA", which appears to be the same as on my PG130F. They found a "top flight" tech, somewhere in the company, who, naturally, was clueless.

Since I found no e-mail address on their website, I wrote a snail-mail to Axesstel U.S.A.'s headquarters. Typical of a big corporation, where choice one is a meaningless form letter, I received choice two; No response.

I found a helpful Axesstel rep who did contact them. The response was that the data cable was never packaged with devices sold in the U.S.A.
End of story, as far as they're concerned.

The plug/physical connection...
The child psychologists have that plastic peg board, with different shaped pegs. Give me a hammer and a square peg WILL fit in a round hole, but the hole will never be the same.

As far as the pinout, I've searched, and searched...
Have you ever heard the expression "Working in the dark, with the lights on."?

damn son,you must send a msg to have your msg recieved,no where in your post did you say that is a lg cable, nor do i care to much about it,seems like since your needing help and i am/was trying to offer it you could hold back the "am i a airhead" metaphor....

your choices as i see it are buy it or make it good luck.

"What we've got here... is, fail-ure, to communicate."

I figured *I* must have been the airhead, for having missed these specific, elusive cables, on multiple ebay searches.

But you said you found
some on there.

Then, the real deal is that you were telling me to
buy a phone to get the cable

I already bought ONE withOUT the cable.

If
the 24 pin data cable is...not shipped with units, do I buy an infinite amount of phones?

I attached EXAMPLE pictures of SIMILAR connectors and cables.

it SEEMS like it may be similar to Pantech or LG cables.

...

I have attached images of how the connector, and a prefab cable might look....
An EXAMPLE of how the ACTUAL cable MIGHT look.

Photoshop can show how Traci Lords might have looked during her first movies. Only seeing the ACTUAL movies can tell you what she ACTUALLY looked like. Of course, that's kind of a felony.

oh,well the one i saw in the uk had the same model
I really have no idea what you mean. The one you saw was the same model as what?

i have several of those cables some chipset and some not
You have several of WHICH cables? Again, I have no idea what you mean. Cables for an LG G7050?

i am sure if you look around you may find pin configs for it and be able to make a simple mod to the cable

To modify the cable, I need a compatible connector AND the pinout. BOTH seem to be Extinct In The Wild.

...make a simple mod to the cable for the lg one...
I THINK you are suggesting that I modify an LG cable, provided that the PLUG CONNECTOR is correct. How can that be verified?

contact the manufacturer and get the oem one.
That's "beating a dead horse", in the U.S.A., anyway.

the 24 pin data cable is...not shipped with units

I found a helpful Axesstel rep who did contact them. The response was that the data cable was never packaged with devices sold in the U.S.A.
End of story, as far as they're concerned.

Finding the O.E.M. cable through regular U.S.A. supply chains is like the old 7-UP "fizzy" carbonated soda-pop commercial advertisements: "Never have, never will!"

I understand India might be a good place to look, but without knowing who is a supplier, a part number, or retrofit/compatible item, it's been a shot in the dark.

I half expected to get a suggestion to go to Radio Shack, Staples, or some other cookie cutter, big box retailer... I had nothing better to do, than to amuse myself.

Radio Shack's sales reps were too busy flirting with girls from "Jersey Shore" to be bothered. "No we ain't got none!" Before I even asked. They would have tripped all over themselves to get the commission on a big screen T.V. The Pantech connectors there, were clearly NOT this style, 24 pin, as they were far narrower.

The staples rep tried to jam an iPod/Ipad connector into the smaller slot, before I stopped him.

Neither place had LG cables.

Believe it or not, I already knew my options were to buy one or make one.
What I was seeking, in coming to a "guru" site, was a way for me to do either.

I was hoping to find someone on here, who could tell me something I didn't already know, especially after I told him or her what I already knew...
