I have only had to use the IOTA a couple of times and I have flashed quite a few blackberrys.
It is very rare you need that. Even with the downgrade.

Nope, you downgrade the OS first. Then get the SPC. That is the reason you have to downgrade the OS is to be able to read the SPC. I don't downgrade for any other reason

Anyone figure out how to peek/poke these new sprints without downgrading yet? I haven't found a program that will touch them and while we have a solution for now, carriers may use this sw to block modding in the future as well...

I'm having trouble with this blackberry for some reason
I wiped the device using JL Commander
Installed the downgrade os file.
Ran Downgrade Blackberry program
and nothing shows up as an option for OS it just asks for apps and such
When I choose update in blackberry desktop manager and choose the 131 it says that it doesn't exist
my bad this is the ESN version but is there a solution for this version?

Alltel reverts PRL? Must be the later OS. 4.5.127 never does that and is really flash friendly when it comes to ESN Repair.

So It seems we need to address the IOTA bypass file usage. This file is only NEEDED on BRAND NEW out of the box units that have never been activated on ALLTEL OR SPRINTS Network without running the IOTA Bypass you will NEVER get internet working properly. If your PRL is reverting that is because you havent changed your settings in programming of the BB REG ID which Must be set to 2004 to eliminate the PRL revert :) Anyways I am here to assist and Hope to here more input soon :)
OHHH AND DO NOT RUN THE IOTA BYPASS ON A TOUR LOL I have seen people do this and end up with a NICE paperwieght :)

Ownmart, here is a solution that might work for you. My guess is its a sprint. Open command prompt and input the following commands:
cd\
cd program files
cd common files
cd research in motion
cd apploader
loader /nojvm
this will force the device to accept what you want to load. I call it APP RAPING! lol . oh yeah Im sure you already know but make sure your vendor.xml file is removed from your apploader folder.
