Hey Dex I have this tutorial but I just want to ask u something general about this u350. Is there a way to do a full flash this phone if I have a bulk quantity? because I know we have to do it after activation right?

you must edit the mmc with the correct mdn before you write it to the phone in order to get wap and mms, you can go through and pre-flash them with a prl and then just do the full flash as you sell them

*note* do not read the phone again in pst at least on the prepaid.
or it will rewrite your MMS settings on the manual programming part.
and you will need to do those steps again.
Also for some reason when I reset after saving, the /mms does not stay on the servlets/mms on the MMS User Agent. during the manual program part

In Samsung PST, did you click the Prepaid button and change it over to "Postpaid"? I don't know if that's a required step or not but could it cause the phone to revert it's settings?
no u dont have to do a thing this tut was written specifically for the prepaid version the word doc included explains the full steps required and all sammys revert once the fone is programmed

I had flashed this U350 and when I dial out to anything other than *228 it goes to "Welcome to the American Roaming Network." *228 goes straight to the activation and programs my phone correctly. Any clue why this is happening?

Any clue why this is happening? If *228 will connect to cricket, and a regular call goes to ARN my guess would be the ESN is either not in crickets system or is incorrect in crickets system. Or account issues.

The ESN is there because *228 programs the phone. Otherwise, the phone number wouldn't be on there. The account should be fine, but I guess I'll call customer care and see if they have any info on why it might not be working.

Question....does the phone need to have been activated on Verizon before I flash it? I'm not having much success with this phone dialing out.

*611 should dial to Cricket Support...otherwise you should try to download the 1039 prl or like Withey said...make sure the ESN is correct in your account...also, make sure that the ESN in the sticker is the same in the phone info...that could be the problem.
whats the password?
Get to 10 posts and i will tell u via pm but u must let me kno when u get there i dont track users

Or probly you gonna have to rewrite the ESN in your phone...that happened to me when I did the flash in the U340...for some reason the ESN changed to zeros after the flash...but I fixed with CDMA Workshop.

The ESN is in the system correctly...I've checked it with CDMA Workshop -_-. I'm gonna try a few more things before I'm completely pissed off on this phone. Glad I picked up the 5600's lol.

Make sure that the SID is correct for your region. Also, if 611 gets you to cricket, and ESN on the sticker and phone match, then check the MDN, MIN, manually, or with PST.

This is bothering the crap out of me.
Flashed it Talk, Text, WAP work fine but Pic Messaging only works outbound not inbound...I can even tether just fine. What could be the problem with my situation? Bad Phone?
I have had the account refresh a few times also. By the way I'm on Pocket

I would really appreciate the password information for this tutorial. I've learned a whole lot in the past 2-3 days and had some progress in accomplishing the subjective task, but I am currently stuck in a rut and frustration is building! Oh well

PM the original poster for this information. His name is Dex.
If you can't reach him, simply get the Samsung PST, the U350 DLL, and the Cricket PRL. Then you just manually input the Cricket settings. It's nothing really special. There is also an mmc file on here for this phone as well.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. Thanks.

What error are you getting? What Operating system are you using on your pc? What version of Samsung PST did you try to install?
If you give us a bit more info as to what your problem is, we can get you up and going. Thanks and welcome to Gurus.
If u are in need of the password u must have a post count of 10 and u will get the install pass without it the tut is useless without it so if u dont have 10 posts dont waste ur space

I have a Verison Samsung U350 that I would like to use with Cricket is it possible to flash it? I've been trying to use Samsung PST but I can't get it to load the dll for the u350. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am a noob at this and this is the first phone like this I have to flash. iPhones are a breeze compared to this thing. Thanks in advance.

you should start your own thread, with regaurd to this. but i will tell you this, you have to have the dll in a models folders in the samsung pst folder,so if you dont, create a folder name it models and place the unpacked dll in that folder, you also have to have the correct drivers installed on your computer they are here on the site in about 10 places. look around for them and if you cant find them start a new thread title it appropriatelly and post it and i or someone else will help you further. good luck.
