The U.S. International Trade Commission recently indicated that it will review a decision that found Samsung guilty of infringing on four Apple patents. The initial ruling, made by one of the ITC's administrative law judges in October, is being returned to the judge for further consideration on two of the patents. One of these patents, reports Reuters, "allows the use of a headset with the smartphone while the other allows the device to show an image on a screen with a second, translucent image over it." The ITC process involves an initial ruling by a law judge, followed by a review by the full panel before any final determinations are made. In this case, the ITC is asking the judge to reexamine the initial ruling, which will then be resubmitted to the full panel for review. Apple and Samsung have legal cases pending in more than 10 countries around the world.
