U.S. District Court Judge Lucy Koh has ordered that the CEOs of both Apple and Samsung meet once more in hopes that the patent- and design-related lawsuit between the two companies can be settled before the case goes to the jury. Koh believes that sending the case to the jury could turn out badly for either or both companies. "I see risk here for both sides," said Koh. "It is time for peace." The case has been underway for several week, with each company accusing the other of various infractions related to their smartphone and tablet businesses. At the heart of the case, Apple believes Samsung "slavishly copied" its iPhone and iPad designs. Both CEOs agreed to the judge's most recent request.
