I am lost

This morning I didn't know what flashing was. By now I am a little bit in system overload. Just assume you are talking to a child and explain to me what has to be done to get things working. Starting with a iphone 4 with a bad ESN with the goal of making it work with cricket.

I also have the cricket logo and when I call 611 i get cricket on the line. I dont know which PRL I need but I tried adding the 38515 via the disk aid but when i got to the property list step it gave me an error saying conversion of string failed. The string is empty. Will it solve my problems to use Iphone CDMAtool or DFS?
