I only get the 3G symbol if I have 3 bars of signal or more. 2 or less it goes to the circle.
speeds seem to be slow either way.
I tested 3G when I went into town, I had full signal strength, 3G up top and it topped out at ".13Mbps" per the Speedtest App.

The 3G symbol only shows for me when I custom load any prl eg.3029 or 3030 but i noticed when my iPhone auto converted back to 2004 it just had the circle up top with no 3G symbol anymore... So u guys might want to check in your settings to make sure it's still the same and nothing changed

once I reloaded the 3030 prl the symbol was there again

who really cares about the 3G symbol when the speeds are 1x or slower regardless?
I would settle for the circle up top if I had good speeds.
has anyone gotten a legitimate 3G speed off this tool?
because I for one have not.
either metropcs 3G is a joke or something is not set correctly.
keeping my fingers crossed for the magic combination...

two days ago i had ping 275 download 1.1mbs upload 0.82mbs with [Only registered and activated users can see links. ](1x &3g) isd 6503 and prl 3028. yesterday a read the phone and it went back to 2004?. when i rewrote it with the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] the speeds was just like your results no matter how i changed the settings. I will check the speed again today and post
