I would like to try my iMessage but i cant quite do it yet. I have iMessage setup on my AT&T iPhone and i need to make another account for my metro. I need to go pick me up one of those cheap itunes gift cards.

I was messing around with the prl's last night and ended up re-flashing the 3030 prl i got from here:

and at work i can sometimes get download speeds up to 1mbps. Is that decent for metro? Or should i be seeing faster speeds.

@rich. I can't get web on sprint iphone that keeps wanting to activate. I tried pageplus and metro pcs. I was able to flash a different sprint iphone to pageplus with web. This one was previously activated with sprint pcs. Do you think the difference is because of the previous activation status. Already restored it a couple of times but still it keeps asking to ota. It keepngs failing ota. What are your thoughts on this?

a little more info please.what carrier are u flashing to now? and was the phone flashed with a different software before? what market r u in and does your phone still show all its mac address's and its meid.and does your prl show in the about menu. you can get live support on skype if you wish.

Ok well first used the read option to populate all the fields and then i corrected all the info as needed. Then i used the "write prl" option and selected the 3030 prl. After it finished i hit the "write" tab to the right of the tool and let it finish. Then i just hit disconnect and that was it. I still dont get 3g speeds though, even though it says 3g.

And im still a little confused as to weather we hit the "write prl" tab first or the "write" tab first. Or if we are supposed to even use both of them. And if so in what order.

So what prl are you using?

I have used these PRLs:
3018, 3022, 3026, 2027, 3028, 3029, 3030.

In combination with these SIDs:
6503, 6504, 6509, 5037, 5007, 5109, 5023, 5097, 5167, 5199, 4815, 4273.

And in combination with these IMSIs:
31000MIN and 31166MIN.

Here are some of the speed results I obtained with some of these parameters. But when i used the other parameters, the results were very very similar.*

SIDs all with IMSI=31166MIN and prl=3029.
6503 - 104/123 kbps (UL/DL)
6504 - 101/87*
6509 - 104/100*
5037 - 83/121*
5007 - 99/122*
5109 - 80/114*
5023 - 55/92*
5097 - 102/125*
5167 - 80/77*
5199 - 89/1171*
4815 - 60/115*
4273 - 103/75*

Conclusion:
There's no 3G data in my area.
Or metropcs uses different username and password in this area for 3G and 1X data.
Or . . .

I'm currently using prl 3029, sid 6503, and imsi 31000min since it doesn't make any significant difference on speed based on the combinations of parameters I used.
